Make Your Own Motorcycle Advent Calendar

It's that time of year again where the Advent Calendar, in all kinds of iterations, seems to be everywhere. Most are just something to spend money on and have nothing to do with the religious history of Advent. Chocolates, beer, wine, LEGO.

I was able to locate a Motorcycle-themed advent calendar but it was basically just a box with a picture of a motorcycle on it, 24 little punch-out windows, and chocolates inside.

Not that there's anything wrong with chocolates.

But, maybe it's time to make a personalized calendar filled with 24 items we'd want/need that are related to our bikes.

  1. chain lube / gear oil for your final drive
  2. new chain / sprockets
  3. helmet / gloves / boots
  4. goggles / new visor
  5. electric jacket liner / cooling vest
  6. tire pressure monitoring system
  7. disk brake lock
  8. kickstand parking pad
  9. tank bag
  10. extra / upgraded lighting
  11. Ride-On tire balancing / sealing fluid
  12. brake pads
  13. tire patch kit
  14. portable air pump
  15. coolant change
  16. rider training / refresher course
  17. new tires
  18. engine oil
  19. high visibility vest
  20. Medical Data Carrier
  21. first aid kit
  22. satellite tracker and SPOTWalla service
  23. new maps / gps update
  24. more friends to go riding with

As with all things to do with motorcycles, your mileage may vary. Your list will be different depending on what type of riding you mostly do but hopefully there are a few things above to inspire you when you create your list.

Ride responsibly, and often.

NOTE: I was going to mark the items in my list that could be obtained through the Alberta Motorcycle Safety Society's Sponsors (https://ab-amss.org/sponsors/) but then I realized that by visiting these businesses I could acquire almost all of the above items. Please consider supporting the companies that support us.
