Annual Campaign Launch

Well, we had hoped to launch our 5th annual campaign in both Calgary and Edmonton this year. Due to COVID-19, we had to rethink our strategy to still launch the campaign, but also do so in a safe manner observing the public health order in place for social distancing and restrictions on gatherings.
This year, where we normally release a video of the live event after the event has happened to share with those who were unable to make it, our entire event has been done through a pre-packaged video. We would like to thank the following speakers:
- Terry Evans - Terry Evans show with Pete Potipcoe, K97 - media spokesperson and our emcee
- Sean Burke - The Morning Breeze, The Breeze - highlighting our digital partnership with Stingray
- Alex Campbell - Public Health Education Officer, AHS EMS
- Mark Dobbelsteyn - Program Director-Traffic Safety, Alberta Safety Council
Huge thank you to Production World for their help every year with our campaign launch. This year the team were tasked with filming, editing and producing the full video in advance on relatively short notice during a pandemic with a reduced staff. We can always count on the team at Production World for their amazing work.
Special thank you to Stingray Radio for helping with a full province reaching digital campaign during these unprecedented times.
Our final thank you to the University of Alberta Injury Prevention Center. Without their assistance with a grant through the Injury Prevention Fund, the filming of our launch, our digital campaign and more would not be as easy for us this year.
