We are excited to announce that our 6th annual motorcycle safety and awareness campaign will be launching on Sunday May 2 at 11:00am.  We are doing things a little differently this year!  We are returning to the event being live, but doing so virtually with help from our friends at Production World.  If you are not able to attend on May 2, don't worry as a video of the event will be posted to our YouTube channel at a later time.

This year, where we normally have a list of speakers representing each partnership doing a speech, we are going more informal to a fireside chat feel.  This will be more like a panel of guests having a discussion about the safe return of motorcycles to Alberta roadways.  Our guests include

  • Minister Ric McIver, Minister of Transportation, Province of Alberta
  • Deputy Chief Tawfik, Calgary Police Service
  • Stuart Brideaux, Public Education Officer, AHS EMS
  • Sean Burke, Vintage MX Alberta
  • Spencer Bevan, Parts Tech, Riverside Honda & Skidoo
  • A special message from Brittany Morrow, Safety Advocate

Our topics to cover will include our licensing, gear, a take it to the track option, training, tips for sharing the road and mechanics, the 2020 statistics and even a sneak peak at our new video PSA!

Huge thank you to Production World for their help every year with our campaign launch.  They offered up their new, incredible in-house studio as means to hold a large scale zoom event.  We can always count on the team at Production World for their amazing work and generosity.

Special thank you to Stingray Radio for helping with a full province reaching digital campaign during these unprecedented times.

Where COVID even hit us in our pockets books for support, our final thank you goes out with much gratitude to our Minister of Transportation.  Without their assistance with a grant through Alberta Transportation, the live event of our launch, our digital campaign and more would not be as easy for us this year.
